So it's January and it's too cold to go fishing unless you like sitting on a frozen lake freezing your tush off doing the ice fishing thing! I can't wait until the spring thaw! All I want to do is sit on a shore of a mountain lake or a warm water lake down south and not worry about anything except of running out of bait! I want to feel the warmth of the sun and the breeze of the fresh air! The feel of the line when I have a fish on the other end. there's something so peaceful about it all! The first trip of the season is always the most exciting for me. Then there's the warm water lakes (not too many of them) in my home state, I would love to catch a fat Large mouth bass! I have so many bass lures that I never get around using them yet, so I think I'm going down to the warmer part of the state and use them and hopefully not lose them but living so close to the mountains its a given to go up there and try for a trout! I remeber when I was 15 visiting my sister in Alabama my Brother-in-law took me catfishing at night
I love it when it sprinkles in the morning when I'm fishing, I like to throw out a kastmaster with a rooster tail or a bit of cheater power bait when it does and it doesnt matter if im bass fishing I will use the same thing if im having any kind of luck rain or shine! If I get there early enough I can watch the sun rise! which is better then watching set I might add!
This past summer I bought a small rubber raft to take on the smaller ponds, I used it once with a friend and we did had a blast! instead of rowing. I need to buy a small propeller or something that ould be alot easier then that rowing bit!
